ABOUT US

Our Mission

The Laramie Breastfeeding Coalition is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization made up of any health care professional or individual interested in promoting a breastfeeding culture in Laramie, Wyoming.

Each year in our community, approximately 500 women give birth.  We strive to provide these women and their partners with quality resources, education, and support regarding breastfeeding.

The coalition depends entirely on volunteers and donations to perform all activities and events.

Currently we have two ways to donate online: GoFundMe and Amazon Smile.

To donate to our coalition through Amazon Smile start your shopping on Amazon through the link provided on the following page. Choose Laramie Breastfeeding Coalition when asked what organization you would like a portion of the sales to go toward.

GETTING STARTED AND KEEPING BREASTFEEDING GOING

Please contact us immediately if you are having concerns with breastfeeding your baby or just general questions. We can help you get in touch with several professionals who can provide immediate assistance.

If you are planning on going back to work and pumping, the best place to start is speaking with your manager or Human Resource department to find out what policy they may already have in place. Most often, simple solutions are available to solve break time issues, as well as finding a private place to pump. If your HR department doesn't have a policy or you are having problems discussing pumping  with your employer, we can help. Employers must provide new mothers a reasonable amount of break time and a private, non-bathroom location, during the workday to express breast milk for one year after the child's birth.
